Hi all,
A few things for me to update you about.
First of all I've finally taken the time to update the video section of my site. It has been requested numerous times by different of my readers, so I'm pleased to finally be able to grant your wish.
I've chosen to upload my match against Chen Long from China. I played him in Macau Open last year in one of my best wins of the year, so I hope you will all enjoy the show ![]()
Secondly I want to inform you that today I've been selected to represent Denmark at the upcoming European Mens Team Championship, which also works as the Thomas Cup qualifiers. It is of course a great pleasure and honor to get the chance to represent my country in an official team event like this. The last time I did that is almost two years ago when I was a part of the team that won the championship we are now trying to defend! I think I deserve to be on the team and I'm therefore not surprised to be on it, but still very happy about it as it obviously wasn't my decision to make. It shows me that the coaches/federation still believes in me and that's always nice to get confirmed even if I didn't doubt it!
Last thing I want to tell you a little about is the teammatch I played for my club on wednesday night. We played Værløse away from home and beat them 4-2. A very satisfying result for us as Joachim Fischer unfortunately had to withdraw from the match. We are now directly qualified for the semifinals and therefore only one step away from the final, which is what this is all about. We still have two matches left before the semifinal, one of them being a clash with league no. 1 Greve. It will be a good test to see how close we are to them as they most likely will be our opponent in the final, should we make it that far.
I played Emil Vind in the teammatch against Værløse and beat him in three sets, as usual I might say... I've played him I don't know how many times, but many. Still I have never lost to him, but I've played three sets with him quite a few times. This time I was in full control of the third set, so I never felt the victory was in danger and I'm content with my performance. Wasn't the best game of my life, but it was good enough and sometimes that's all you can expect really.
That's it for now, hope you will have a look at the videos.
All the best,
HK
